The Symposium
The Symposium is a Greek vase that was used by the Ancient Greeks for drinking during celebrations. It represented that wine, women, and songs were an important part of society. It also helped citizens gather and bond with each other. The important part of the vase was the krater. The Krater was capable of holding 19 gallons of liquid. Wine was first diluted with water then served. On both sides of the Vase was the return of Hephaistos to Mount Olympus. This vase refers to Greek religion because it was used in Greek Festivals which were a part of tradition. Also drinking was a very important part of tradition so the vase it was served in was very important.
